em.• Improve client retention by building and maintaining a client relationship based ontrust and dependability, quality service and exceeding client expectations.• Manage client payroll changes such as new hire on-boarding, salary adjustments,special payments, tax allocations and payroll deductions.• Research and respond to client inquiries for guidance on pay practice and payroll taxquestions.• Collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues and ensure that the client'sexpectations are met.• Reviews and creates policies and procedures for the payroll department and trainsnew employees on these policies and procedures.• Research, troubleshoot and resolve client system problems.• Identify potential problems and/or compliance issues related to the Fair LaborStandards Act (Exempt v. Updated on 4/17/20Education & Experience:• High school diploma or GED required.• 5+ years of experience processing high-volume multi-state payrolls daily preferred.• Strong understanding of payroll tax principles and wage and hour laws.• Payroll certification is preferred but not required.• PEO experience is preferred but not required.• Certified Payroll Professional designation is preferred but not required.Physical Demands:This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filings are required. This would require the ability to liftfiles, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Individuals may need to sit or standas needed. This position may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Travel:Some travel may be required as needed.
